The opening ceremony of the Fanling North Community Liaison Centre (CLC) developed by the Civil Engineering and Development Department was held on 26 October 2023.

The architectural design of the Centre focuses on simplicity. By using glass partitions and sky-light to introduce natural daylight, guests can immerse in lights and shadows with the landscape of the central courtyard garden.

“Being and Becoming” is the key idea of the Centre’s exhibition. Aiming to introduce Fanling’s past and present, there are several exhibition zones and multimedia exhibits for the public to understand the development blueprint of the Northern Metropolis’ Fanling North New Development Area. One of these zones houses a driving simulator, where participants can have a taste of galloping on the future Fanling Bypass Eastern Section. Moreover, the holographic projection unit showcases the features of the New Development Areas in various dimensions.
